All CloudSigma Locations are GDPR Compliant Hi dhuh, We have two important updates to share with you today. CloudSigma compliance to GDPR The new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) goes into effect on May 25, 2018. For many organizations, the GDPR is a complex project. We want to keep you informed and prepared so you and your teams can focus on your key competences. With this email we would like to assure you that all CloudSigma services are in full compliance with GDPR across all our locations worldwide. To help you understand what GDPR means for you and the steps we have taken to ensure the protection of relevant personal data, we have created a few documents that are available on our website: - This blog post will help you understand GDPR, its challenges and opportunities, as well as what we have done to comply with GDPR. This blog post contains links and references to all critical aspects covered by GDPR.
- The CloudSigma Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which enables you to comply with your GDPR obligations.
In addition, we have updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service Agreement to comply with the new requirements of GDPR. Please note that localised versions of these documents are available from within the webapp of each cloud location however the GDPR relevant additions are common to all locations. We are committed to providing the highest level of privacy for our customers as a matter of principle. GDPR largely reflects existing practices that CloudSigma already adhered to as a matter of best practice within the industry. We hope you'll find that these updates useful in ensuring continued transparency and any compliance requirements you might have yourself with respect to GDPR. Exchange rate update In order to achieve uniform pricing across the globe CloudSigma occasionally must update its local pricing to reflect real-time prevailing rates across various currencies. CloudSigma aims to minimise disruption to the end-user as result of exchange rate fluctuations, however pricing calibration is unavoidable when a currency's value increases or diminishes considerably over time. Currency rate changes will only affect pricing for customers which are using a non-local currency in any particular location. It is important to note that CloudSigma's local pricing is linked to the respective region's local currency and therefore no changes will be observed by the majority of users. For example, if you are using Zurich and Swiss Francs you will see no impact. If you are using US Dollars in Zurich you will see an updated exchange rate to reflect the latest Swiss Franc to US Dollar rate. The updated exchange are available for review at this link and will be updated in all clouds on the 1st of June 2018. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our sales team. As always, we welcome your valuable feedback. Best regards and happy computing, The CloudSigma Team |
